Salty Dogs

Scientists have figured out a way of removing a dogs’ blood and replacing it with a cold saline solution. The dogs are considered clinically dead for a couple hours before the dogs’ blood is reintroduced. After an electric shock, the dogs spring back to life. The scientists are considering testing this on humans within a year. Reasons for such an operation would be to help save the lives of victims of knife stabbings and gun shot wounds. The saline solution would be used to replace the existing blood, following massive blood loss. The person would then be rushed to a hospital, operated on, and then have their blood replaced. Kind of scary, but very interesting.
