Is it geeky that I'm really excited to see Gin Blossoms in Albany tonight? "Hey Jealousy"? "Found Out About You"? They're all good.
I do not enjoy the fact that the NYS budget still hasn't passed. It's very stressful for many, including me. Enough said.
Why does it rain everyday this summer? Doesn't it know it's supposed to be sunny?
Quick Review: New Pornographers "Together"
Posted this on Eric's blog the other day and thought others might be interested:
Together has some excellent tracks (“Your Hands,” “Valkyrie in the Roller Disco,” and “Sweet Talk, Sweet Talk” are my current favorites), but it’s probably not their strongest.
That being said, I also tend to think that “Electric Version” only had one great song, so what do I know?
If I had to rank their albums, it would go like this:
- Twin Cinema
- Challengers
- Together *new one*
- Electric Version
- Mass Romantic
I would still recommend picking it up as The New Pornographers make most other bands seem a little boring. Bottom line: it's The New Pornographers--you're not going to go wrong.
I find it amusing that most of my life revolves around food. Particularly dinner. Is anyone else like this?
How is it that so many people are anti-union? Am I missing something? Doesn't anyone realize what will happen if they're gone?
You know what I hate? Anti-mainstreamers. Just because they think they're cool. Stop looking down your noses!
Niagara Falls
Back from the Building and Construction Trades conference in Niagara Falls. Had a great time and what a fantastic location to hold the event. It made for a nice evening being able to walk the area around the falls.
