We Graduated!

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations! I graduated on Sunday with degrees in Television, Radio, and Film; Psychology; and Political Science. I will be going to grad school at Rockefeller College in Albany in the fall, studying media and public policy. I’m really excited about it. I’ll be home this summer, trying to earn some money to pay for next year. Again, thanks everyone!

The Boy Is In Town

Over the weekend, Emily and I visited her parents and had a great time. While we were there, a bull was delivered so that their two cows could, hopefully, have some offspring. Let me tell you, the bull definitely had a certain strut to his step. Not to say that the girls weren’t excited–they ran over as soon as he arrived and then played hard to get for quite some time. For several hours, they disappeared behind a group of trees into another pasture–who knows what happened there??

In a fantastic turn of events for Apple, Steve Jobs has successfully secured the 99 cents pricing from 4 major record labels. The labels had wanted to charge more for newer songs and offer discounts on older songs. While that may seem fair from a logistical standpoint, it would be perceived as another pathetic attempt by the music industry to milk sales. 99 cents is a good deal for everyone involved. We shouldn’t charge based on how popular an artists is–that seems to defeat the whole purpose of new, original music. Bravo Mr. Jobs, bravo.
