While thinking about “the future,” my parents were kind enough to give me this comic:

Happy Holidays

Since it is Christmas time, chances are that I will have very little time to update the old blog. That being said, Happy Holidays to everyone and I’ll see you in 2006!

I went to see the Chronicles of Narnia today after my last final Check out the tree at the bottom of the page, it’s from the Carousel mall.

I thought the movie was fantastic. It should please both fans of the series and those unfamiliar with the source material. The acting was great and the computer animation for the animals was spot-on (check out Beaver, he looked great). The look and feel of the movie was not the same quality as Lord of the Rings, but still very stylized and appealing. Go out and see this movie today! A

Finals & Snow

Well, this is it. Finals week is here. Only 2 this year, plus a take home test and some other projects to finish up. Of course, to make my life easier, snow has definitely come to Syracuse. And yes, we still have to climb the hill every day–even when it’s icy and snowy.

Chris Columbus did an admirable job directing, although some scenes were a bit akward (the opening scene with Mark riding his bike while singing). The soundtrack was great, although I would prefer to see it done on the set, with mics, rather than pre-recorded. However, the acting was fantastic and the look and feel of the film was spot on. A-

Kira’s Birthday

For those of you who don’t know, Emily has a wonderful sister named Kira. I used to think her name was Kiwi, like the fruit. But I guess Emily was saying Ki the Wee. Ki is a good nickname isn’t it? Anyway, today was her 19th Birthday and Emily and I joined her parents and Ki in Colgate for a great dinner and presents! It was a good time. I had pork chops with cranberries and apricots. It was delicious! We ate at the Colgate Inn–very very nice place, well decorated. It was a great birthday and we all enjoyed it!
