It is important to remember that I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I would not recommend this movie like I did the last one since it relies on you having read the series.

That being said, I thought the acting was fantastic and they covered as much as they could in 2 1/2 hours. I think the casting of Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort was a great choice. I do have some complaints though–the director’s vision is not of equal quality as the last movie. Also, the editing left much to be desired in terms of making the scenes flow nicely. Lastly, as my mother pointed out, “Why does it have to be so dark?” Yes, we understand that the movie is supposed to be dark, but it did not have to be so blunt. My rating? B+

Thanksgiving

On Wednesday, I drove to Rochester for Thanksgiving with Adam and the parents. We had a great time. Lots of games! I think I won 5, Adam 3, Dad 3, and my Mom only won 1, but she came in 2nd place nearly every time. We also had a lot of food. Adam took us to Beers of the World one day and I had some nice memories brought back to me as I went through the different aisles, remembering where I was about a year ago. All in all, it was a fantastic break!

New iMac G5

I got my new computer finally! It’s great! I’ll try to put up pictures of it in the future, but the next few days are gonna be busy. But yes, you should all buy an iMac G5 with built-in iSight if you’re looking for a great computer.

Dick Cheney

Please, let him go away. I really hope he was completely involved with the CIA leak. As scary as Bush is, at least he isn’t smart. That’s the problem with Cheney, smart and stupid. The two go together like oil and water.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire opens up Friday! I hope you all are going! You’d be missing out on quite the event if you didn’t. PG-13 means that it doesn’t avoid the fantastic ending. And if you think “Harry Potter’s for kids…” it’s not. And even if it was, relax. Trust me, being young isn’t that bad. Do you really want to be that old person who refuses to enjoy kid’s content. I challenge anyone to find a movie/book/tv show that hasn’t been outdone by a children’s movie/book/tv show.
